Is Whitmore Estate scary?
It's a mystery, not a horror room. The mood is moody and suspenseful, room lighting, a missing novelist, strange events on the estate, but nothing chases you and nothing leaps out. Nervous first-timers and families finish it comfortably. If you actually want to be scared, that's our Headcase room.
Is this a good room for our first escape room?
It's one of the best places to start. The story runs in a clear line, so you always have a sense of what to tackle next, and the puzzles reward teamwork over obscure knowledge. Groups who have never done this before solve it regularly without feeling lost.
Can kids play, and what's the age limit?
Recommended for ages 7 and up. Any group with players under 18 needs an adult playing too. The detective angle tends to click with curious kids and teens who like piecing things together.
How many people should we bring?
It's built for 3 to 10. Four to six is the sweet spot, enough hands to split up the puzzles without anyone standing around. Couples can book it as a private game as well, just plan on using the full hour.
Will we be sharing the room with strangers?
Never. Every booking is your group only, start to finish.
What if we run out of time?
Your game master is watching the whole game and sends hints so you're never truly stuck, and most groups do get out. If the clock wins, they'll walk you through the ending so you still get the full payoff of the story.
